List of Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef; cooked and drained
  • 1/4 cup green peppers; chopped
  • 1/4 cup onions; chopped
  • 28 ounces diced tomatoes; do not drain
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons yellow or brown mustard
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar; loosely packed
  • 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon minced garlic

Preparation or Cooking Instructions:

Combine all ingredients into a large skillet. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low-medium. Cover and let simmer, checking frequently, for 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens.


Garnishments: (optional)

After dipping onto a bun, sprinkle top with shredded Mild Cheddar or Monterrey Jack & Colby blend cheeses.
