List of Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef; cooked and drained
- 1/4 cup green peppers; chopped
- 1/4 cup onions; chopped
- 28 ounces diced tomatoes; do not drain
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 2 tablespoons yellow or brown mustard
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar; loosely packed
- 1 envelope taco seasoning mix
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoons black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon minced garlic
Preparation or Cooking Instructions:
Combine all ingredients into a large skillet. Bring to a boil then reduce heat to low-medium. Cover and let simmer, checking frequently, for 20 minutes or until the sauce thickens.
Garnishments: (optional)
After dipping onto a bun, sprinkle top with shredded Mild Cheddar or Monterrey Jack & Colby blend cheeses.
